The Full Story

About

AiR started in 2019 with six recovery brothers seeking an alternative from expensive study-intensive recovery retreats. Instead, we found a connection with each other, a higher power, and nature. And it helped. By immersing ourselves with 12 step shares, we found connection, peace, fulfillment, and something to look forward to every year. We found the retreat part of the solution that works for us.  Join us! Become part of a brotherhood that extends beyond the classroom, beyond writing, beyond addiction, and into life.

Our retreats intentionally avoid big cities, crowded tourist locations, and triggering environments. Instead, we seek isolation, and solitude, and often visit little known amazing destinations completely in the off season so we feel like we have the entire landscape to ourselves. Yes, sometimes that means we are hiking up to our waists in snow (loved it!).  Sometimes we are ice fishing in freezing temperatures (unforgettable!). We put a lot of time and effort into finding hidden gems that the general public doesn't know about. Our adventures will leave you wanting more ... more sobriety, more recovery, more life!

Mission

Our organization is dedicated to facilitating the journey of men towards healing and liberation from sexual addiction. We achieve this by providing transformative 12-Step-focused nature retreats, complemented by service opportunities, meaningful long-term connections with fellow brothers in recovery, and a strengthened relationship with a higher power.

Vision

To help one man at a time, one retreat at a time.

Adventures in Recovery

Why we are AiR

01

AiR is a life-giving, life-sustaining element, much like recovery itself.

03

We know men love adventure, and men in recovery need more adventures in their lives. "I need more fresh AiR."

05

AiR is seasonably and universally versatile: Spring AiR 2023, Fall AiR 2024.  "We all need more AiR!"

02

AiR carries the dual connotation of physical and spiritual adventure. "Coming up for AiR"

04

AiR carries the connotations of honesty and sharing. "AiRing it out."

06

AiR as an acronym is memorable, versatile, and universal. Translates well into other languages. "Have you heard of AiR?"
